Thanks to your generous contributions, LPIE raised a record $2.844 million dollars for the 2015-2016 school year! These funds will help LPIE continue to support high-quality curriculum and enrichment to all of our schools.
In the coming academic year, LPIE will not only be able to maintain its current levels of support for all of its programs, but will also fund the following areas:
In TK-5, LPIE will provide additional funding for math coaching to help teachers develop curriculum that enhances math lessons, encourages critical thinking and promotes individual math skills.
At the middle school, LPIE will fund supplies in electives such as Art, Home Economics, Woodshop, Robotics and Computers, eliminating the need for parent classroom donations for these classes. LPIE will also support the STEAM Expo – which will feature student projects in all areas of STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.
At Acalanes, LPIE will continue its support of the 1:1 device program. In addition, there will be a new Teacher Innovation Program that will encourage new programs and curriculum development in STEAM projects. LPIE will also purchase supplies for a new Architectural Design elective and increase funding for a full year of music, art and science provided in Special Education classes.
Thanks to your continued support, LPIE looks forward to supporting high-quality education in Lafayette’s schools for years to come!
